Saxby Chambliss Getting the Most Republican Attention Since Terri Schiavo
Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) is facing a run-off election on December 2, and his Republican buddies are lined up halfway to South Carolina for the chance to pimp him to weary voters.
While Democratic challenger Jim Martin is forced to make due with a team of "Obama surrogates," Chambliss has mobilized so many A-List Republicans, you'd think Terri Schiavo had moved to Georgia.

Saxby stands firm against amnesty to illegal aliens, who are getting free health care from our taxes and who are working in jobs that legal Americans can and will do. Jim Martin will raise our taxes, just as Obama is planning to do. Saxby holds onto American core and constitutional values, and he is for the Fair Tax, which will get rid of the IRS. Instead of paying income taxes ($$ goes to the government) where you will be taxed according to how much money you make, with the Fair Tax there is no income tax at all. The money you earn, you get to keep. Additionally, here's a look at the facts of Saxby and Martin:
1. Saxby supports domestic drilling for oil to end our reliance on foreign oil, and supports a move towards alternative fules, such as biofuels that can be made here in Georgia.
2. Saxby cosponsored the Universal Health Care and Access Act that would provide tax breaks to families who provide their own health care.
3. Saxby is pro-life
4. Saxby is pro-2nd Amendment and stands up for responsible gun owners.
Jim Martin:
1. Martin voted for the largest tax increase in GA history that raised sales tax by 32% (see House Bill 474, 3/3/89).
2. Martin proposed legislation that would increase property tax assessments by 150% (HB 231, 2/22/95)
3. Martin refused to return $100 million state surplus to taxpayers (Atlanta Journal Constitution 2/13/94)
4. Voted against making it a felony to solicit a child for prostitution (HB 1221 2/1/88)
5. Martin voted to increase his own taxpayer-funded expense acct. 27% which amounted to a pay increase he could spend on himself (HB 62 2/9/95)
6. Martin voted twice against making English the official language of Georgia (SB 49 3/24/95 & SB 519 3/4/96)
7. Martin 3x against allowing public prayer in schools (HR 517 2/25/86, SB 396 3/4/94 & 3/16/94)
