THE Speech

Our President is smart again.

It's like the end of the first Star Wars…. A New Hope.

  1. What a difference. When McCain was mentioned during Obama's acceptance speech, the crowd applauded, no booing, no hissing, no yelling of obscenities. A very clean, honest, flawless presentation, led by a remarkable speech and followed up by some of the most patriotic Americans out there.

I have always been proud to be an American, I've always been patriotic.
Now I can be proud of who we are, what we stand for, and how the rest of the world will view us.

I feel that 20 minutes of talking has brought us closer to our allies than we have been in 8 years.

  3. Congratulations, America. I can finally throw away my copy of "Become a Suicide-Bomber in 21 Days" and go back to loving your country and wanting to migrate there :p

    Greetings from Sarajevo, Bosnia.

  5. OMG! McCain lost! How will we ever find Bin Laden? McCain knows exactly where he is and exactly how to capture him! I'm certain he will not disclose this info now. He could have ended the terrorist threat, and now we are in for perpetual World War! Look what you Democrats have done!

  6. I should be in bed right now, but felt compelled to listen to "To be young, gifted and black". (You can hear various versions on youtube.)

Congratulations to all of us. Smart guys are awesome. Speaking of dusty old feelings — what's this one…..patriotism? huh.

  7. That was one of the most moving speeches of my lifetime. Beautifully written and spoken, I am so relieved that we don't have to be embarrassed by our president anymore–Obama represents America's best self and proves what we can be together! He is a grounded presence who exudes confident strength without the arrogance. Obama has given me a reason to believe in America again.

  9. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there disappointed that Obama didn't open his speech with, "Excuse me while I whip this out."

  10. More like the end of Return of the Jedi.

Oh yeah, we were watching a stream of the live show (we're in the UK), and had to check out BBC news to see if you guys were serious about your new President-Elect.

Just goes to show how much we take you seriously. Serious.
