John McCain Does Not Spend $400 on Haircuts
However, he does pay over five grand for makeup…
The 72-year-old was recently made TV-ready by makeup artist Tifanie White who's worked on So You Think You Can Dance and American Idol.
McCain paid the 2002 beauty-school grad $5,583.43 for her services, according to the Federal Election Commission.
Seems a touch weird for the straight-shooting, maverick candidate from a party that so reviles fancy boys in makeup to spend such a exorbitant amount on lipstick and eye-shadow, right?
Seems kind of insulting to drop that kind of dough on looking pretty when so many are struggling financially, right?
Seems a little hypocritical to spend more than ten-times what John Edwards spent on that infamous haircut that caught him so much ridicule from Senator McCain's GOP brethren, right?
Seems a little risky knowing you could walk into the first debate dolled up like Sanjaya, right?
Well, slow your roll, partner. Normally I might agree with you, but looking at this photo of McCain without his makeup, I can see why the campaign is willing to pony up all that cash.
